Prioritising thoughts


'Life has many ways of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once' (Paulo Coelho).

At times it is while we are waiting for an answer or a response, that the 'not Knowing' impacts upon us. Step back, breathe and let go. What will be will be. Worrying or reacting will not change an outcome, but it will promote anxiety and stress. Mindfulness and staying in the moment, allowing nothing that happened five minutes earlier or what may happen in five minutes from now, impact upon you. Stay in the here and now and embrace the outcome, whatever it is.

It is true that at times it feels that everything negative has happened all at once and we are lost and confused in how to deal with the situation. We try to muddle through allowing anxiety and stress to take the lead. One step at a time. It is better not to rush in, which can bring the situation into crisis mode! Sometimes it is as simple as putting the issues into some kind of order, through prioritising them. Deal with them separately, one at a time. Whatever it is you are dealing with and whatever the situation, dealing with things positively, will serve to promote success. As Shiv Khera said '...... positive action combined with positive thinking results in success.'
